This video is part of an installation at Les complices and a short lecture performance as part of the love Trans*Formation event curated by Simon Harder and Jonah I.Garde in Cooperation with Gökçe Ergör/Les complices. Both works are turning around the history of displaced non-white queer/non-binary bodies. This work questions how misusing the word “love” in our society today, became a form of discrimination. And how, maybe, collectively we need to redefine the notion of love/togetherness, community, activism, democracy. Politics of language center this work. How do we translate a colored body into the language of a predominantly white space? Who is allowed to ask questions? How far am I obliged to answer to those questions?
