SEPTEMBER is an ongoing collaboration with musician and performer tracy september as a hybrid narrative of displacement and identity. In this performance I made Tracy’s Avatar and an ongoing animation based on Tracy’s Musical narrative. Her music is built around photographs that she selected  from her late grandparent’s archive and texts written by her grandmother depicting very particular moment in South African History. SEPTEMBER takes archival fact & materials and muddies it to audio-visually explore issues of identity, displacement, love and resilience.
